V All-Russian Contest of Innovation Journalism “Tech in Media” Announces Winners

A solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the contest of V All-Russian Contest of Innovation Journalism “Tech in Media” established by РВК was held on October 28 within Open Innovations Forum in Moscow. The aim of the contest is to encourage and stimulate the activities of journalists covering the theme of scientific development, successful examples of its commercialization, as well as to attract the attention of the wider community to the issues of technological development of Russia.

439 pieces of work from 39 regions of Russia were received in 2015. Thematic finals of the contest were included in the Forum program U-Novus in Tomsk, “Innoprom” in Yekaterinburg, All-Russian Festival of Science “NAUKA 0+” in Krasnoyarsk and Moscow. The prize fund in 2015 amounted to 2,080,000 rubles.

Awards were presented by the Founder and member of the Board of Directors of the group of companies ABBYY, David Yang, Deputy General Director – Director of the project office РВК, Yevgeny Kuznetsov, the Russian popularizer of science, professor of MIPT, Constantine Agladze, Director of Market Development of BIOCAD, Dmitry Mordvintsev, and Deputy General Director – Executive Director of РВК, Alexander Potapov.

The winners of the contest are distinguished by high professionalism and ability to convey to the audience the intricacies of production and technology as well as venture capital market mechanisms”.
All-Russian Contest of Innovation Journalism “Tech in Media” has been held since 2011. The winners in “Technological Entrepreneurship”, “Advanced Production”, “Popularization of Science”, “Life Sciences” are defined by an expert jury.
The operator of the contest is the Directorate of the All-Russian Festival of Science, of the educational program - the popular science journal “Кот Шрёдингера”.

RVC is a government fund of funds, the Institute of Development of the Russian Federation, one of the key state tools in building its own national innovation system. The authorized capital of RVC is more than 30 billion rubles. 100% of RVC capital belongs to the Russian Federation represented by the Federal Agency for State Property Management of the Russian Federation (Rossimuzthestvo). The total amount of funds formed by RVC has reached 22, their total amount – 30.3 billion rubles. The share of RVC is 19.3 billion rubles. The number of innovative companies approved to investment funds of RVC has reached 182. The total volume of invested funds is 16.9 billion rubles. Since 2015 OAO RVC is defined as a project office of the National Technology Initiative (NTI) – a long-term strategy of technological development of the country aimed at the creation of new global markets by 2035.
