RVC and Tomsk State University concluded an agreement for cooperation

Igor Agamirzyan, CEO of RVC, and Eduard Galazhinsky, rector of Tomsk State University, signed an agreement for cooperation at the Open Innovations Forum on October 30, 2015.
The purpose of the agreement is the support for high-tech entrepreneurship, creation of an effective service infrastructure for subjects of innovation activities, formation of transparent mechanisms for financial support for innovative businesses, improving competencies of innovative entrepreneurs.
The main areas of cooperation will be projects to be implemented in the education, information and consulting areas, as well as in support of high-tech developments with high growth potential in the Russian and foreign innovation and technology markets.
Several joint educational projects are planned, including the organization of internships of young entrepreneurs in leading innovation companies, professional development, training and retraining of highly qualified personnel.
In the field of information and consultation activities the expert support will be provided to innovation projects on technology transfer and commercialization of intellectual property, including using the opportunities of venture capital funds with RVC capital.
In addition, events will be organized aimed at promoting the economy in the field of venture capital financing and commercialization of the innovative entrepreneurship.

TSU (National Research Tomsk State University) is Russia’s first university in the territory of the Russian Asia (in fact the first Russian university east of the Volga River), one of three dozens of national research universities. It was founded in 1878 by Alexander II as the Siberian Imperial University. Today, TSU is a leading classical university of research type, a recognized center of science, education and innovation. In the ranking of QS, TSU was included in the top 500 best universities in the world, in QS ranking of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) TSU takes 47th place (6th place among Russian universities). TSU is the only Tomsk university included in the top ten universities of the CIS countries, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia (6th place among the universities of Russia) according to the Interfax rating created by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation to improve the competitiveness of the higher school of these countries. TSU takes the 10th place among Russian universities included in the ranking of universities Webometrics.
